Shalom and welcome to Longbridge Methodist Church. Special welcome goes to Rev. Malcolm Oliver and all the youth from the District who have visited us. We are ready to receive all that God has sent you to deliver to us.
As we meet on Homelessness Sunday, I urge you to honour our calling as the Methodist Church, which is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ by living out our discipleship in worship and mission, supporting the needy and the homeless. (Matthew 25: 31-46).
It is also Holocaust Memorial Day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. As we commemorate this day, let us work for peace, love and unity.
May you also pray for Zimbabwe, which is going through a bad patch economically and politically.
