We continue to observe the Covid-19 protocols i.e. wearing of face covering, use of hand sanitizer (provided) and social distancing. Please follow the instructions of the Stewards and observe the one-way system for movement through the church.
We now have a small choir to sing the hymns. Please restrain yourself from singing along with them.
I hope we are all ready to offer our love to our friends around the globe as we conclude Christian Aid week. Your support will put a smile on someone’s face and change the climate for the better. This letter covers Ascension Sunday, Aldersgate Sunday which falls on Pentecost day and Trinity Sunday which comes seven days after Pentecost.
After revealing himself to his disciples over a period of 40 days, Jesus said to them, “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift that my Father promised…….But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:3-11. I want to use this story to encourage you to wait patiently upon the Lord as He fulfil His promises.
We are all invited to our circuit Pentecostal service led by Revd Ping Ting Chen on Sunday the 23rd of May at 6pm. The link for the service is as follows: https://www.facebook.com/birminghamcircuit

As Blayze White comes to the end of his placement at Longbridge Methodist Church, we would like to say a big thank you to him and his family at his last service with us on Sunday 23rd May.
As we wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit, let us work towards unity and be ready to witness starting from our homes, communities and going out into the world. May God continue to protect us from the scourge of covid19.
