We continue to observe the Covid-19 protocols i.e. wearing of face covering, use of hand sanitizer (provided) and social distancing. Please follow the instructions of the Stewards and observe the one-way system for movement through the church.
We now have a small choir to sing the hymns. Please restrain yourself from singing along with them.
This Sunday is the first ever national thank you day. It was proposed by Emma who is an explorer scout and supported by Together Coalition. It is a day set aside to say thank you to the NHS staff and all the key workers and all those who have helped throughout this challenging year. It is also time to say thank you to Anne Day who has worked with us so well since she Joined us beginning of June, our Stewards and the leaders who have kept us well looked after and all our members for keeping our church going even under such difficult circumstances. Our church has been clean throughout and I want to say thank you to those who are looking after our property so well.
The church at its just ended conference voted in favour of the changes proposed in the marriage and relationship reports. I urge you all to work together and support one another during this transitional period. Our President and Vice President are encouraging us to respect our differences and never allow them to impair our communion with one another. This is cemented by their presidential theme: God’s table: An Invitation for All. So let us build a house where all are welcome.
The second Sunday of July is dedicated to Action for Children. Let us help make dreams of a safe and happy childhood come true by donating towards this worthy cause.
We are praying for all our members who are not feeling well. On Friday the 1st of July we celebrated the life of one of our most illustrious members of the church, Gloria Wilberforce. May her Soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
I urge you to continue following the covid19 guidelines provided by the government and the church.
