A big thank to all those who took time to bid farewell to the Queen in person and virtually. Indeed “grief is the price we pay for love”. (Queen Elizabeth II).Her great acts of charity and service will always be remembered. The huge crowds that travelled from all over the world to pay their last respects to the late queen is testimony of how she touched the lives of many people, locally and internationally. May Her Soul rest in peace and rise in glory. I pray that we remain united and peace loving as King Charles the 3rd leads this great nation.
Every second Sunday in October is observed by the Methodists and many other churches as the Homeless Sunday and it also marks the beginning of Prisons week. May God bless those who work hard towards eliminating homelessness and those who work in prisons as well as those who support this work.I am always encouraged by Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:34b - 45, “Come you blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you…for I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me…..” Let us join hands in fighting homelessness and, also, support those in prison, their families and those who work in prisons across the globe.
We hope to look at our Mission Statement and strategize for the future of this beautiful church in October and November 2022.

OFFERINGS
The weekly average for the year 2021/2022 was £654 which was well below our budget of £673. We appreciate the increase in the cost of living at this time but we have agreed to increase our contribution to the circuit from September by £1000 so we need an increase in offerings.
Can you put a little bit more in your envelope or if you pay by standing order or bank transfer can you review your amount?
Thank you.
