Greetings in the name of God and welcome to LMC, a place of welcome.
I want to share with you on Spiritual Gifts, Unity and Diversity. The Spiritual gifts given to each person by the Holy Spirit are all special and they must be used to minister to the body of believers. Instead of building up and unifying the Corinthian church, the issue of the Spiritual gifts was splitting it. Instead of becoming a means of growth, these Spiritual gifts had become symbols of power, causing rivalries which were not good at all. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 NKJV
I am encouraging you to read this text and understand more about these gifts. Any gift that you have does not mean that you are more spiritual than others. You must also know that the purpose of these gifts is to make the church function in an effective way.
As you use your gifts, think of others, and remember that we serve one God who will never be divided. We must try, by all means, not to be manipulative. We must be prepared to serve others all the time. God created a special place for you in church. God also gave you a special gift that you must utilise whilst you are still able.
I want to thank those who have offered to be confirmed in the Methodist Church. If you do not understand what this means, see me, your pastoral visitor or any of your stewards. We will soon resume confirmation fellowships. If you wish to join, may you kindly register to Becky or any of our stewards.
Let us continue to pray for our church, those who are not feeling well and the world over.
